June 2026 – UCL’s Child Health Science for All

Exploring the Science Shaping Children’s Health

UCL’s Child Health Science for All event brought together families, researchers, and clinicians for a hands-on day of discovery, focused on making child health research accessible and engaging for all.

The event showcased how scientific breakthroughs are translated from the lab into real-world impact through a range of interactive activities, games, and “meet the scientist” sessions. Visitors had the opportunity to explore complex ideas in approachable ways—from working with 3D models to learning about innovative treatments—highlighting how research can directly improve children’s health outcomes.

Designed to inspire curiosity and understanding, the day emphasised the importance of opening up science to wider audiences and encouraging meaningful engagement between researchers and the public.

We were proud to represent KEHC at the event with our own stand, where visitors took part in an interactive LEGO-based activity. This hands-on approach helped bring research concepts to life in a way that was both fun and accessible, particularly for younger audiences and families.

Events like Child Health Science for All play an important role in bridging the gap between research and the communities it aims to serve, fostering greater awareness, collaboration, and impact.
